[Vwoolf] Vwoolf Digest, Vol 129, Issue 13

Thank you, Madelyn and Kristin, for sharing your special memories of Susan
Stanford Friedman. I don't have a personal anecdote, but was deeply honored
to engage with her work for a couple of reviews in the *VWM. *Her creative,
meticulous scholarly thinking provided a model for so many generations of
readers. I was especially moved by her willingness to rethink previous
positions and challenge her own conclusions through collaborative
engagement with a multitude of scholars from other disciplines, reflecting
an authenticity that's increasingly scarce. She will be deeply missed;
condolences to her friends, family and students.
sincerely, Jeanette
