 Coolie named after the hat? Doesn't that make laurelberninteriors.com 'a source that should know better'?
I know it's difficult and the 'rules' change frequently, but if someone says they find a word offensive, it's probably best to take their word for it and avoid the word. At least until you do some research.

 Not so the Daily Mail's idea of Bloomsbury style, which is like a slightly ethnic version of Laura Ashley. One of the links in the article ishttps://bloomsburyrevisited.co.uk/, which is actually Bloomsbury, or at least Charleston, style. But the artist only does lampshades.
