[Vwoolf] Jigsaw puzzle w/ Virginia Woolf

I believe VW’s hair became blonder from a brunette as she aged; then turning whitish. However, I don’t believe it was a noteworthy colour to begin with, although we think of her with the lustrous hair from the iconic image of her. I read in Dirk Bogarde’s biography that he met VW as a child and she had ‘fairish hair which looked rather wispy’. This quote is also in the VW Miscellany 12, Fall 1979.

Just curious--I wonder why Woolf is depicted as blonde in the jigsaw puzzle.
