His case for reading Bennett might be more interesting if he showed the 
least understanding of the terms on which B appears in VW's manifesto 
for the "Georgians," and had he defended AB on those grounds. He really 
does seem utterly clueless, as if he hasn't actually read a word of AB 
or VW, let alone being able to tell the difference between their 
approaches to representing "the social system in action," or why a 
manifesto might have been in order given VW's then-obscurity and 
minority v. AB's immense cultural profile and success, etc.
