“Vanessa’s children (by her husband and at least one other lover)”

Maybe I am misreading this, but the reviewer seems to suggest Vanessa might have not noticed that she gave birth to another child by some unnamed “other” lover! 😉 I’ve begun seeing references elsewhere to Vanessa’s “many” lovers—as far as I know, Roger Fry, and Duncan Grant were it: is that mistaken?

According to a review in TIME, “Gill argues that Virginia always <https://www.google.com/books/edition/Virginia_Woolf/0uB-DwAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&bsq=clive> “distrusted and disliked” Clive Bell. I’m looking forward to reading her book to see what I missed in nearly six years’ researching Clive Bell’s biography!

Merry holidays.

Gillian Gill’s new biography, “Virginia Woolf: And the Women Who Shaped Her World,” traces the influences of her female family members and friends on the author’s career.
