<b>1) ODE Mathematics and Science Partnerships (MSP):</b> The Ohio Department of Education has announced a <i>third</i> competition for the Ohio MSP program. (This is not the same program as the NSF Mathematics and Science Partnerships program.) Unfortunately, ODE has switched to a new website, so the URLs for the RFP and supporting documents have been changed since yesterday's RFP announcement. In addition, the new website's search function is not currently working. <br>
<br>The MSP program funds professional development projects for K-12 science and mathematics teachers. This new competition has a new track ("Option 2"), under which <br>
<ul><li>the institution
<span style="font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Arial">"offer a graduate
level program in mathematics or science which leads to a master’s degree in
science or mathematics.</span>"</li><li>"at least one graduate-level course must be taught at the target school, during the course of the school year" </li><li>
<span style="font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Arial">"Upon completion of
the graduate program of study, teachers should be able to teach high school or
introductory college courses in math or sciences courses" </span></li><li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Arial">A majority of the funds must be used for scholarship incentives for teachers/program enrollees. <br>
</span></li></ul><p>Note that this competition has an incredibly fast timeline:<br></p><ul><li>The funding period is July 1, 2013–August 15, 2014<br></li><li>"submissions will be accepted and considered (as long as funding is available) on June 7, 14 and 21, 2013" (i.e., <b>the first round of proposals is due in 9 days.</b>)</li>
