I hope everyone is faring well after going from draught to flooding so quickly. As a reminder, these cloudy days are lowering the oxygen concentration in our aquaculture ponds as there is less sunlight for the phytoplankton. Feeding is also ramping up, which
will increase the biological oxygen demand on these systems. Check DO, at minimum, just before sunrise. If possible, check in the evening and then again in the morning to get a picture of how much oxygen is being used up overnight.</div>

I will be at an Urban Gardeners' meeting today in Columbus so there will not be open office hours today. Come on by if you want to see the aquaponic system and other cool things going on at the Urban Gardeners' meeting. I will be there from about 2:30-5. I
will be demonstrating to FACCES and gardeners how to weigh their fish to determine how much to feed their tilapia. The aquaponic system has 60 tilapia, and it is a vertical system. Central State University Extension will also be present to talk about plants
in the AP system, plants in the hydroponic system, and plants in the raised beds - all within their greenhouse.</div>
