Below please find a call for proposals for the North Central Region SARE Partnership Grants Program.  (SARE is the USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program).



SARE Partnership Grants can be used by educators who wish to work with a group of farmers or landowners on an on-farm research project or demonstration project, or educational project.  Grants of up to $50k are available and the deadline for submission is October 20, 2022.  A link to the Call is in the message below

NCR-SARE Announces 2023 Call for Partnership Proposals



The 2023 North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (NCR-SARE) Partnership Grant Program Call for Proposals is now available online at https://northcentral.sare.org/Grants/Apply-for-a-Grant/Partnership-Grant/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/sare.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=59ae25c06b13f96d86e8dac2a&id=27dde0179a&e=5e59060e37__;!!KGKeukY!y-EGplE4g9yOXvHcwinCsUfRrOSGouUCiTfqkTVqscvBRMXopEIWbExy_6LQIPT3oGMv1FB9BBpd3iro$>

NCR-SARE’s Partnership Grant program is intended to foster cooperation between agriculture professionals and small groups of farmers and ranchers to catalyze on-farm research, demonstration, and education activities related to sustainable agriculture.

Individual grants are limited to $50,000. NCR-SARE expects to fund about 20 projects in the twelve-state North Central Region with this call. A total of approximately $1,000,000 is available for this program.

Deadline
NCR-SARE will be accepting online submissions for the Partnership Grant Program. More information about the online submission system can be found in the call for proposals.  The deadline for Partnership Program proposals is October 20, 2022 at 4pm CDT.

A Partnership Grant application Zoom will take place on September 12, 2022, at 2pm central time. Funding Decisions
NCR-SARE administers each of its grant programs with specific goals, audiences, and timelines. Funding considerations are based on how well the applicant presents the problem being addressed, its relevance to sustainable agriculture in the 12-state North Central region, farmer-rancher engagement in the project, and how well it aligns with NCR-SARE's goals.

This group sets research priorities and recommends projects for funding.

“This grant facilitated real change on a landscape scale by giving farmers the space to learn from one another and valuing the time of the experienced farmers,” said Raboin. “The change that has occurred can be seen driving 55 mph down a county road. The difference can also be seen as the confidence grows in a young group of farmers who want to improve water and soil quality on their farms. They are becoming leaders in their community.”
