I am sure many of you have heard, but I wanted to make sure to spread the word to the Ohio aquaculture community that Dr. Tony Forshey, State Veterinarian with the Ohio Department of Ag passed away November 26th at 2:25AM. As many of you know, Tony was a stark advocate for aquaculture, and he supported the me, the Ohio Aquaculture Association, and so many others over his decades of service. He is already sorely missed by all.

Dr. Tony M. Forshey (DVM), age 69, of Hebron, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at The Ohio State University Hospital East. Tony was born August 31, 1952 in Caldwell, Ohio to the late Brady Dean and Faye Eileen (Schafer) Forshey.

The family will receive friends from 1-7 p.m. on Friday, December 3, at the Johnstown Baptist Church, 450 South Main Street in Johnstown, Ohio. A private celebration of a life well lived will be broadcast via Facebook Live at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 4, on the Johnstown Baptist Church’s Facebook page.
