Folks,

please see below the requested information from Amy at Illinois Indiana Sea Grant. This is a great potential marketing opportunity once the Eat Midwest Fish map goes live!!

As always, consider all possible outcomes to your farm being located on a map as we know trespassers or other unwanted guests may use farm maps for something other than what was intended.

Can't wait to see the website!

Matt

Hello,

I am collecting aquaculture business information for a regional map that is being developed to help connect buyers with farmers selling food fish and shellfish products. Here is a little more information about the project. Please feel free to share with Ohio Aquaculture Association members.

Eat Midwest Fish (EWF)- Fish Finder Map

The EMF Fish Finder is a map of the North Central Region that will show consumers where they can purchase fish and shellfish in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Kansas. Participation is voluntary and free. The only requirement is that you sell aquaculture products that are intended for humans to eat. We anticipate that the map will be active by the end of this year. This project is supported by Sea Grant and the North Central Regional Aquaculture Center.

If you want to advertise your aquaculture business on this regional digital map, please click on the link and fill out the questionnaire.
