AQUAPONIC COURSES – SPRING & SUMMER 2018

Introduction to Aquaponics - Biology 380/580 – 2 credits
Non-credit, reduced fee option available for those interested in the course but not needing college credit.

Online course (January 22 – May 11) with weekly online lectures and discussion sessions.
Biological system designs, production techniques and methods for the integrated science of aquaponics, the combination of aquaculture (fish culture) and hydroponics (soilless plant culture). Foundational knowledge of aquaponic food production, fish culture, crop selection, good agriculture & best management practices, and economics & marketing.

Techniques in Aquaponics – Biology 384/584 – 1 credit

Summer term registration; course takes place right after finals for 3 days; short but sweet.
