[Sc-aquaponics] Ohio Aquaculture Association Annual Meeting and Election of Officers

To all Aquaculture Enthusiasts:

Strong producer associations benefit the entire industry.  The education and advocacy they provide on their member's behalf is vital to help grow and sustain the industry. That is why I have volunteered to serve as the chair of the Ohio Aquaculture Association (OAA) Nominations Committee for the 2015-17 offices (2-year terms).

If you are not a member of the OAA, please excuse this post, but also give consideration to joining the OAA as a member, and serving as an officer. Please see the OAA website, http://ohioaquaculture.org/ for membership brochure and cost of membership.

The OAA has the following officer positions open that will be voted on at the 2015 meeting on January 31, 2015 at the Quest Conference Center in Columbus:

President
Vice-President

I am seeking any and all nominations for these positions from OAA members. I have copied in below the description of Board officer positions. Please forward this email to anyone you think might have interest in the OAA and serving as a Board officer.

Officers:

SECTION 1. The officers of the Association shall be President, Vice-President, Past-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and a NCRAC Industry Advisory Council Representative (IAC). Officers must be members in good standing.

SECTION 2.  President:  The President shall preside at all business meetings of the Association, annual and special, and all meetings of the Board of Directors.  The President shall discharge such other duties as usually pertains to such office and upon completion of his/her term shall become the Past President.

SECTION 3.  Vice-President:  The Vice-President shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the President in the absence, disability, or a vacancy in the office of the President.  He/she shall also perform such duties as may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors.
