Like the rest of the world, we have witnessed the horrific killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many other innocent Black Americans whose lives were taken at the hands of police brutality. We are deeply heartbroken and at a loss for
words at the racial injustice that has continued across the country. On behalf of the NMC Program, we want to reach out and express our solidarity with Black members of our community that are suffering.<br>

We believe that justice is long overdue, and that this is true both with individual cases of police violence, as well as in addressing racism in educational and health care institutions. Black Lives Matter—we understand the worth of your lives and value every
aspect of your identities. We understand that our program participants are in pain, and we would like to show our support in any way we can during this tumultuous and frustrating time. The APS Leadership has also released a letter condemning racism and expressing
