<p>Last week, the ASC CAO and CIO issued new guidelines regarding
the purchase of technological hardware and services. These
guidelines are attached.</p>
<p>The guidelines have in fact been enforced informally for quite
some time. Now that they have been written down, we hope it will
make the process of buying computer- and A/V-related items
smoother, and more predictable and transparent.</p>
<p>Please note that the guidelines do allow exceptions, so long as
there is satisfactory justification provided to the approver.
