<p>Over the coming months, ASCTech staff and students from PCF will
be<br>
visiting every computer in Physics to be certain it is properly<br>
inventoried and that it meets OSU security policy. This effort,<br>
mandated by the Office of the Chief Information Officer and backed
by<br>
the Provost and Board of Trustees and our Executive Dean, is named<br>
"Three and Green in 2018." This name refers to scoring on security<br>
policies, and is often abbreviated TaG18.<br>
<br>
Details concerning TaG18 are available here:<br>

<br>
Please read the above article first if you have any questions or<br>
concerns. Additional questions may be directed to<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:action@physics.osu.edu">action@physics.osu.edu</a>.<br>
<br>
Please note that this applies to all OSU-owned computers and
mobile<br>
devices, such as tablets and smartphones, including those you may
use<br>
off-campus. It does not apply to personally-owned devices not<br>
purchased with University or research funds.<br>
<br>
This also means we will be asking some of you for help locating
all<br>
computers, including ones not currently turned on. TaG18 applies
to<br>
*all* University-owned computers, even if they are only "gathering<br>
dust."<br>
<br>
This effort is intended to improve computer and network security,
not<br>
only for the benefit of the University, but also to reduce the
risk of<br>
interruption to your ability to work.<br>
