<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Please be advised that it is dangerous to leave storage devices sitting unattended in common spaces, because it risks compromising your work or personal data.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Furthermore, <b>if you ever find a flash drive, DO NOT attempt to use it</b>. It can be tempting to check for evidence of the owner’s contact information, but don’t do it!
<b>Turn it in to a Lost & Found, or to an IT manager</b>. There are stories about hackers leaving virus-infected flash drives outside classified research institutions and having a scary high success rate of infecting the computers of people who found them.
Too many people don’t think enough about the security risks of connecting unknown drives to their computers.
