Dear Colleagues,<br>

I am riding Pelotonia in memory of my wife, Kathy Squillace, and for other family and friends recently diagnosed with cancer. It was a brutal winter. This is a fund-raising event with all contributions going entirely to cancer research at The James, where Kathy

 was treated by people with whom she had worked and done research in oncology.  Team Physics has set ambitious fundraising goals for the ride in August, so we would very much appreciate your financial support of our efforts, on and off the bike.  I have already

 received as much as I need to be allowed to ride, so additional donations you make to me will be used to make sure other members of Team Physics are able to ride.<br>

I'd like to close by thanking all of you who made the limited time I had to share with Kathy as pleasant and free of stress as possible. The messages, emails, cards, frozen food, prayers, ... all helped us get through a very difficult time. I'll be thinking

 about Kathy but I will also think about the wonderful support from family and friends and how you buoyed Kathy's spirits. Thanks!<br>
