The <i>Journal for Character Education</i> is planning a special edition devoted to service-learning. The special edition will feature rigorous peer-reviewed research studies, book reviews, and thoughtful commentaries that examine the social-emotional impacts
and personal-social outcomes associated with participation in service-learning. Articles that reflect research or discuss important issues related to social justice, community engagement, and other social-psychological or culture-based issues related to service-learning
will be considered. One-page abstracts should be submitted by September 14. <o:p>
