Community-Engaged/Service-Learning Course Development Grants now open
Instructors are invited to submit applications for our 2022 Course Development Grants.  Up to $4,000 is available for the creation or improvement of a community-engaged/service-learning course.  Instructors from any Ohio State campus are eligible to apply with a course for any academic level and any mode of delivery.  Instructors developing service-learning courses for the new GE are encouraged to apply.  Applications are due February 1, 2022.

Apply now for the University Outreach and Engagement Awards
Ohio State is seeking nominations of programs, scholars, and practitioners for the 2022 University Outreach and Engagement Awards, which honor faculty, staff, students, and community partners for outstanding achievement in producing engaged scholarship and community impact.  Awards will be given in three categories: High Impact Program, Community Engaged Scholar, and Community Engaged Practitioner (for staff).  The deadline to apply is January 7, 2022.

Submit your course for the new GE
Courses can now be submitted for inclusion in the new GE, launching Autumn 2022!  The course submission process varies depending on which section of the GE curriculum the course fits into, Foundation or Themes.  Service-learning is included as an Integrative Practice choice within the Themes and qualifies for 4 credits.  These courses must submit a Service-Learning Inventory form.  Course submission forms, instructions, and support materials can be found at the link below, and the Office of Service-Learning can assist with any questions.

Resources and Opportunities
Support funds available for new or revised Integrative Practices courses in the new GE
The Office of Academic Affairs is making funding available to help support work on the new General Education.  These funds specifically target efforts that lead to new or revised "Integrative Practice" (4-credit) courses in any Theme (including service-learning courses in any Theme).  These funds are available to tenure track, clinical track, and associated faculty on any campus.  Requests for funds will be made to OAA through college curricular deans; please contact your dean's office for details and help in developing a proposal.
Campus Compact seeks proposals for book manuscripts
Campus Compact is pleased to announce a call for proposals for book manuscripts to be published through their relationship with Stylus Publishing.
