University Engagement Recognition Awards announced!
Ohio State's sixth annual Engagement Recognition Awards Ceremony will take place on May 2 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Ohio Union, U.S. Bank Conference Theater. The awards honor faculty, staff, students and their community partners who are involved in meaningful partnerships that produce engaged scholarship and community impact. The event is free and open to the public.

President's Prize now accepting applications

The President's Prize provides two graduating seniors with important connections and financial resources to advance innovative ideas for social change in the year following their graduation.  Current juniors (those students graduating in Autumn 2018, Spring or Summer 2019) can apply now.  Applications are due July 13.  Encourage your students to apply!  Information sessions will be offered as follows:

-         Monday, April 23 at 5pm, Ohio Union OSI Founders Room

-         Thursday, May 24 at noon, online webinar via Carmen Connect

-         Tuesday, June 26 at noon, online webinar via Carmen Connect

Buckeye Funder success story!
The Ohio State Sustainable and Resilient Tanzanian Community project recently announced the exciting news that they have raised the funds needed to build their next rainwater harvesting system at the Primary School in Marwa village!  They used the Buckeye Funder campaign platform to connect with their peers, partners, friends, and families to support this community engagement project. Resources and Opportunities
Registration open for Connecting Campuses with Communities engaged scholarship conference
Connecting Campuses with Communities consists of a Service-Learning Institute (May 7-9) and a Research Academy (May 9-11) at the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis.  Participants may select either or both to hone their skills as a service-learning scholar and practitioner.  The events include a mixture of learning opportunities, from plenaries and concurrent sessions to learning communities with engaged scholars from across the country.  Registration closes May 1.

Save the Date: Ohio Campus Compact 2018 Annual Meeting
The annual statewide service-learning conference of Ohio Campus Compact will take place August 2 and 3.  Pre-conference activities will be August 2 at Otterbein University, with the conference on August 3 at Ohio State's Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center.
