College of Pharmacy receives national engagement award
Ohio State's College of Pharmacy has been named the recipient of the 2017 Lawrence C. Weaver Transformative Community Service Award by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. This accolade is presented annually to one college or school of pharmacy demonstrating a major institutional commitment to addressing unmet community needs through education, practice and research.

Ohio Campus Compact Annual Meeting to be hosted at Ohio State
The Ohio Campus Compact Annual Meeting will be hosted at Ohio State on August 3 & 4, 2017.  The Annual Meeting offers the opportunity to network with other staff and faculty members working to advance civic learning and democratic engagement.  This year's meeting will have the theme: Advancing the Civic Purposes of Higher Education in a Changing Environment.

Feature your Program in a new AAC&U Project
Through a grant from the Endeavor Foundation, the Association of American Colleges and Universities is launching a project to describe how different departments and disciplines incorporate learning for civic and social responsibility into the requirements and pedagogy of a student's major or specialized program.  You can submit your exemplary departmental design that aims to empower graduates for civic and social responsibility and learn more at the links below.

Engagement Scholarship Consortium Conference registration now open
Registration is now open for the 2017 Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC) Conference to be held in Birmingham, Alabama this fall.  Pre-conference activities and workshops will take place September 24-25, and the main conference will be September 26-27.  This year's conference theme is: This is Engagement: Best Practices in Community-Engaged Scholarship.  Early bird pricing extends until August 17.
