<div class="MsoNormal">Good news for all students, teachers, parents and others who
need books during the current national emergency. The <span style="font-weight: bold;">Universal School Library</span>
has been established to offer FREE access to a huge array of thousands of books
- including many for reading assignments for today’s distance-learners - suitable
for use by students of all ages.<font size="4"> Gifted ed students, of course, could read higher-level books.<br>

<div class="MsoNormal">The <span style="font-weight: bold;">Universal School Library</span> (USL), is a growing collection
of digitized books – grades 3 through 12, as well as adult-level books - within
the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Internet Archive</span>’s larger holdings, made available through controlled
digital lending, and curated by a national advisory group of school librarians,
librarian educators and researchers. You can search and find selected books
from a selection of school libraries across the country, as well as from
nationally recognized book-award and recommendation lists. <span style="font-weight: bold;">The </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight:bold"><span style="font-weight: bold;">collection for students is organized by
reading level or grade</span>, too. Note: Parents, teachers and librarians can review
the collection and link directly to the books that they deem appropriate,
rather than having younger readers search the broader collection themselves.</span>
(The <span style="font-weight: bold;">National Emergency Library</span> is a new part of the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Archive</span>, with the USL
being part of that.)</div>

with the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Internet Archive</span> and access the <span style="font-weight: bold;">National Emergency Library</span> and the <span style="font-weight: bold;">USL</span>.

Parents may want to use their own email addresses to sign up and check out
books for their children, or create a new, dedicated email with no identifying
