<b>Clark
State Community College offers two youth STEM outreach programs created
by Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering.<br>
</b><u><br>
</u><b><u>Engineering Innovation</u> </b>(EI)
is an intensive four-week summer course created by Johns Hopkins
University-Whiting School of Engineering (JHU) that offers <b><i>students in </i><i>grades 9-12</i></b>
rigorous opportunities to think and problem solve like an engineer.
Engineering Innovation involves research, labs, quizzes, writing
assignments and a final exam. Students who complete the course and earn
an A or B on lab and final exams will be awarded three Johns Hopkins
University credits.<br>
<br>
<b><u>Phone & Games</u> </b>is an intensive one-week summer course created by Johns Hopkins University (JHU) where <b><i>students in grades 6-8 </i></b>interact
with MIT programming software to create and Android device gaming apps.
Phone & Games is held the last week of June each year on Clark
State’s Leffel Lane Campus. Students will present their Android apps at a
symposium at the end of the course.<br>

Thanks to a local philanthropist, applicants accepted into Phone & Games program at Clark State will attend free.<br>
