Earlier this month, the Administration proposed cutting $9 billion from
the United States Department of Education. This includes funding for
gifted and talented children.<br>

<b>Please call your Senators and Representative by Friday, March 31</b>,
to ask them to support: <br>

the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is implemented with all children in

Specifically ask them for their commitment to:

<dd>Invest $32 million in the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented
Students Education Program</b> for fiscal year 2018 to support state and
local work in implementing the new requirements in the Every Student
Succeeds Act (ESSA). <b>
<dd>Ensure the U.S. Department of Education issues guidance and
regulations</b> that address the education of gifted and talented
children.
