<div><font face="arial">Two amendments that impact gifted in the omnibus amendment were added to HB 59. </font></div>

<div><font face="arial">1.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Requires ODE to conduct a gifted cost study </font></div>

<div><font face="arial">2.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Clarifies that gifted units are part of the core education funding formula.  Also requires the funds are to be used for gifted coordinators and gifted intervention specialists. And clarifies that districts can assign the unit to an ESC.  </font></div>
