The findings seem to indicate that a total school cluster grouping program can lead to teachers’ recognition of students who are achieving at higher levels, have a positive effect on student achievement, and influence teachers’ classroom practices. These findings seem most likely to occur when teacher expectations are high in positive classroom environments, collaboration exists, and implementation of a cluster grouping model can serve other districts that are considering developing a cluster grouping program.”<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>The keys are Staff Development, Curriculum, and Instruction with a focus on the gifted student. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>You may visit the following website to read the whole study.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><a href="http://www.gifted.uconn.edu/nrcgt/nrconlin.html">http://www.gifted.uconn.edu/nrcgt/nrconlin.html</a><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>Dianne Mittler<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>Coordinator of Gifted Services<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>Talent Development Program<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>Ashland City Schools<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>(419) 289-1117 ext 2248<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>dimittle@ashlandcityschools.org<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><i><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black'>support their roots and nurture their wings<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></p></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> ohiogift-bounces+dimittle=ashlandcityschools.org@lists.service.ohio-state.edu [mailto:ohiogift-bounces+dimittle=ashlandcityschools.org@lists.service.ohio-state.edu] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Bodart, Barbara (Licking County ESC)<br><b>Sent:</b> Thursday, October 25, 2012 12:36 PM<br><b>To:</b> ohiogift@lists.service.ohio-state.edu<br><b>Subject:</b> [Ohiogift] Inclusion<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>Anyone know/have hard research disputing or supporting an inclusion setting for gifted students?<br>Thanks,<br>Barb<br><br>Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone<o:p></o:p></p></div></body></html>
