[Ohiogift] Statewide school funding

Everyone:

An article in the Columbus Dispatch this week gives a status report on
equitable statewide school funding support. The article suggests that the
new plan is, unfortunately, taking the slow road to completion. (This is in
many ways a continuation of the failed implementation of Ohio Supreme Court
rulings on the DeRolph case that began in the 1990s; the Legislature has
defied these rulings ever since, however.) The future looks bleak, too,
with this article quote: "House Speaker Larry Householder, R-Glenford, has
said he will be happy if the package is completed in time for the next
two-year state budget, which will be considered in early 2021."

Note that no funding for gifted ed is mentioned.
