HIGH-IQ SOCIETY MENSA TO OFFER ADMISSION TEST 

(Kettering, OH) – Dayton Area Mensa, the localchapter of the international high IQ society, will hold an admission testingsession on Monday evening, September 30, 2019, 6–8 p.m. att the Kettering-Moraine Branch Libraryat 3496 Far Hills Ave., Kettering. Test-takers should arrive about 15-20minutes prior to testing to complete registration. Late-arrivals cannot beaccommodated once testing has started. Each test-taker must have a photo ID andthe $60 test evaluation fee, which is charged by the national Mensa officeto cover expenses of the testing program, including purchasing the right to usethe copyrighted test. 

The test is open to anyone age 14 and older, butparental permission to take the test is required for those ages14-17.  Applicants of any age can also use prior evidence from a widevariety of other standardized IQ tests to qualify.
Dayton Area Mensahas members from elementary school age through early nineties. Mensa memberscome from many walks of life, races, faiths, ethnic backgrounds and incomelevels. They include engineers, homemakers, teachers, military personnel, actors,athletes, mechanics, students, and CEOs, and they all share one common trait —high intelligence. The Dayton chapter has over 200 members in the greaterDayton-Springfield-Middletown area and regularly organizes lunch and dinnergroups, games nights, movie nights, gifted youth activities,picnics and visits to various educational, cultural, and just plain fun eventsaround the area. An online practice test one can take inprivacy of home or office is available at https://www.us.mensa.org/join/mht/.While it won’t qualify one for Mensa, it’s good practice for the supervisedtest. During September 2019, America Mensa is offering the practice test for$8.99, a 50% savings over the normal charge of $18.
