Everyone: A lot of summer activities key on STEM-related coursework and opportunities, but not everything. Below is news for the arts-oriented student. The radio station is an NPR affiliate, and the radio camp there serves southwest Ohio. It looks attractive for students 14-18. (Similar camps or workshops may be held at an NPR station wherever you live in the state, so contact any of them that are more conveniently located,)

Dayton Youth Radio Camp 2019
July 8-12 at WYSO in Yellow Springs, Ohio

This week-long workshop is open to area students ages 14 - 18, and no prior media or journalism skills or coursework is required.  Students will collaborate to produce an audio portrait of our local community.  They will learn and participate in hands-on fielding recording, interviewing, script-writing, and digital audio-editing in an intensive learning environment with professional instructors working in Public Radio including Dayton Youth Radio project coordinator Basim Blunt.
