For a unique look at the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, check out BACK ON EARTH by Gretchen Griffith. Rather than focus on Apollo 11, Ms. Griffith focuses on what was going on back on earth with children...the games they were playing, etc. The book ends with INTERVIEW techniques to encourage children to talk to their elders about what they, the elders, were doing when the astronauts were headed toward the moon.
