*Everyone --*

*Academic interests for the gifted student can encompass many disciplines,
especially outside traditional classroom coursework. Such is the case with
media pursuits, as with podcasts. NPR just announced news of winning
student podcasts that the radio organization evaluated, here:*

*From writing skills to history, current events and other realms, podcasts
offer a rich array of developmental opportunity. Parents and teachers in
gifted education would do well to encourage their students, typically in
middle or high school, to be alert for podcast exploration. Locally, many
individual NPR stations across Ohio offer podcast classes, as well, for
localized instruction beyond the walls of most school classrooms.*

*Sincerely,*
