Of interest to those who live in western and southwestern Ohio:

Dayton Area Mensa, the local chapter of the international high-IQ society Mensa, will hold admission testing sessions on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, and Monday, December 18, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. both dates at the Kettering-Moraine Public Library, 3496 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, OH.

To pre-register or for additional information, please contact our Testing Coordinator Todd Bowman, testing at dayton.us.mensa.org or 937-546-7885. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be accommodate as long as testing materials and seats are still available. Pre-registrants will have priority.

Test-takers should arrive about 15-20 minutes prior to testing to complete registration. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated once testing has started. Each test-taker must have a photo ID and the $60 test evaluation fee, which is charged by the national Mensa office to cover expenses of the testing program including purchasing the right to use the copyrighted tests. Those who score in the top two percent of the general population on either of two tests of logic and deductive reasoning are eligible for Mensa membership. The test is open to anyone age 14 and older, but parental permission is required for those ages 14-17. Applicants of any age can also use prior evidence from a wide variety of other standardized IQ tests to qualify. Please contact us if this would apply to you. Dayton Area Mensa has members from elementary school age through early 90s.

A culture-fair, language-neutral and untimed test is available by appointment for those whose first language is not English and those who have trouble with timed tests.
