Teacher Academy
OAGC has a great Teacher Academy lined up this Spring (February 27th and 28th). With Bertie Kingore anchoring both days of the academy, we also have many wonderful national and state presenters. The deadline for reduced hotel rooms is February 6th so don't delay!

Fall Conference
It's never to early to think about the OAGC Fall conference. If you have an idea for a session, please download the call for proposal at oagc.com/fallconference.asp<http://oagc.com/fallconference.asp> . The deadline to submit proposals is March 31st.

The gifted operating standards are expected to be finalized this spring, and the state biennial budget is just beginning to heat up. Expect some interesting news coming out of a new federal administration as well. Survey on OTES Value-Added for Gifted Math Teachers
Two gifted intervention specialists are seeking feedback on teaching gifted students and what method(s)  districts are using to show growth with these students' scores and the potential impact on Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) rating. Please forward the following link to math teachers who teach identified gifted students in grades 4-8 who are willing to share their value-added score and teacher evaluation rating.  The survey is anonymous and should take no more than fifteen minutes to complete. To complete the survey, you just need to click on the following link and you will be directed to the survey.
