Dear principals and science teachers in the Greater Miami Valley Area,

My name is Dr. Lining Qi and I work as a senior scientist at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I am the co-founder of Greater Miami Valley Computer Science Circle (GMVCSC). To help teens understand the computer industry, the circle is set to guide teenagers in the application of computer science, including robotics, security, programming, etc. 



Last fall, the Greater Miami Valley Computer Science Circle was started as an enrichment program focusing on computational thinking. We have instructors from computer science professionals from local colleges, universities and private industries. Wright State University provides the room and computer equipment for us.

We will begin the 2016-2017 Computer Circle year on Saturday, August 27, with a Student/Parent Orientation and classes on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Mathematical and Microbiological (MM) Building at Wright State University. Please see the attached flyers for a more detailed schedule with the information on the orientation and the first class on September 17. (There will be no classes on September 3rd due to the Labor-Day weekend.) There is a $30 membership fee per student for each semester.
