[Ohiogift] Online algebra less effective than teachers for advanced students

Below is a link to a study reported in the Digital Education blog of Education Week.  According to the article, advanced students of the same age were divided into three groups:  conventional Algebra 1 in 9th. grade, conventional Algebra in 8th. grade and online Algebra 1.  All three passed at similar rates but the online group fared significantly worse on tests.
