[Ohiogift] math assessments

Lori,

Our district uses the Measure of Academic Progress online assessment. The assessment does not top out. Therefore, unless the student is accelerated, he takes the grade level test. Test can be given up to 3 times per year, at designated intervals suggested by NWEA (vendor).

Further, the assessment will reveal areas of relative weakness in knowledge. As such, if the student has splintered skills, you can target weaknesses for instruction. Hope this helps.

We use it to identify Science, Social Studies, Reading and Math.

Subject: [Ohiogift] math assessments

What whole-grade math assessment tool would you recommend for the purpose of identifying 5th or 6th graders for mass acceleration (for example, a whole class of 6th graders taking 7th grade math)? Thanks in advance for suggestions or for any related advice from those who are already doing this!
