When the Law and Rule were first rolled out by ODE in 99-00, gifted consultants explained that
        !st testing   = screened
           2nd round of testing for students close, but not identified in the screening round = assessed



It is a compliance issue, and one way the state could track if students were being given the second opportunity described in ORC..

Hello Group!  I am wondering about EMIS data and am hoping you can shed some light on this issue for me.J
Why do we report screened and assessed?  As far as I can tell, this data is reported for research and accountability, but does not factor into the gifted performance indicator or the local report card calculations.  Is that correct?  Is there another application of this data?
