Hi Kelli,
A quick question for you: is this teacher gifted certified? Because that is the best way for her to learn how to provide service to gifted students. Also, you are aware that 30 minutes of enrichment 3 to 4 times a week doesn't meet the current standard for service? Services should be tied to curriculum not just general enrichment.
Ann

Subject: [Ohiogift] Exemplar Schools
Good Afternoon.
I am looking for any teachers/schools who have exemplar enrichment programs for primary grades (K-2). I have an enrichment teacher looking for ways to improve her teaching methods and get ideas on how to teach her gifted students. She would love to do a visit and/or share contact information if possible. Her teaching assignments is approximately 30 min. 3-4 times a week.
I am also looking for any teachers/schools who have exemplar high school inclusion programs. In one of my districts gifted instruction is new and I do not have any other districts with gifted instruction in their high school yet. I would really like to get some ideas and see some of this practice at work.
Thanks for the help.
Happy Holidays.
