[Ohiogift] Gifted Coordinator Posting (Midwest Regional ESC)

  The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center provides Coordination of Gifted Services to districts in Hardin, Logan, and Shelby Counties. This is a full time position.
 
Deadline to Apply:  Until Filled – The first review of applications will occur on June 9th. 
 
Start Date:  August 1, 2015
 
Qualifications:
•             Master’s Degree in Gifted Education or other appropriate area.
•             Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience, gifted education preferred.
•             Valid certificate/license/endorsement in gifted and talented education.
•             Valid certificate/license as a supervisor, administrator, or educational administrative specialist preferred.
•             Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.
 
Job Responsibilities:  (include, but not limited to)
•             Assists school personnel in the testing, identification, selection, placement, and guidance of gifted students.
•             Provides consultation on curriculum development, teaching strategies, and appropriate materials for use by classroom teachers in assisting gifted students in the regular classroom.
•             Assists school personnel in evaluating, on a continuing basis, the strengths and weaknesses of gifted programs assigned to the coordinator, and providing an annual report in writing to the appropriate administrators.
•             Performs such other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
