Due to the large number of calamity days this winter and testing, the
deadline to register for the 2015 Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted has
been extended to April 1st. Please see information below about the program.








*The 2015 Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted and Talented™ at Otterbein
University offers rising high school juniors and seniors opportunities for
career exploration through a unique program comprised of classes, seminars
and workshops on the arts, sciences and humanities. Taking place in
multiple venues throughout Otterbein’s campus, this residential program
encourages social interaction and peer discussion so that students can be
challenged intellectually and artistically and develop a better
understanding of the role of their abilities*
* and talents in their lives and in society. *

*DATES:* June 14-20, 2015

*​LOCATION:* Otterbein University (multiple venues)

*EVENT SCHEDULE:* This residential camp will feature daily workshops and
seminars as well as evening field trips and events.

*WELCOME DINNER: *(for parents and students): Sunday, June 14 at 5:30 p.m

*WORKSHOPS AND PROGRAMMING WILL INCLUDE: *Jeanne Marie Laskas' *Hidden
America: From Coal Miners to Cowboys, an Extraordinary Exploration of the
Unseen People who Make this Country Work* (All students will get a
copy); The Creative and Studio Arts (Drawing, Printmaking, Paper
Engineering, etc.); Explorations in Science (Environmental Chemistry,
NanoTechnology, The Chemistry of Dyes and Dyeing, etc.); Voice and Movement
in Acting; Sustainability
