Scholarships, and Review

Professional Development

Teacher Academy

The OAGC Teacher Academy is just around the corner. There is now updated
information about conference including registration, hotel information,
draft agenda, small session, and speakers. These can be accessed
[1]www.oagc.com/teacheracademy.asp.  Our keynoter is Diane Heacox, who will
be available for both days of the conference. The Teacher Academy will be
held on March 30th and March 31st, 2015.

Fall Conference

Don't forget the call for proposal for the annual fall conference small
sessions is now available at  [2]www.oagc.com/fallconference.asp .
Proposals are due by March 31st, 2015.

Advocacy

State Budget

Governor Kasich is scheduled to outline his budget on February 2nd. The
House will begin hearings on the budget the week after with subcommittees
breaking out the week of February 16th. For an updated list on House and

State Superintendent's Testing Report

The state superintendent testified before the Senate Education committee
this past week on his testing report recommendations. OAGC has serious
concerns about two of those recommendations. For more information about

College Credit Plus ODE and OBR will be holding a webinar about the changes
to College Credit Plus on February 3rd. The OAGC Parent Division will also
be providing information about the program in a Google Hangout that will be
recorded on February 19th. For more information, please go to

General Information

Scholarships

The deadline for OAGC student scholarship submissions is February 15th,
2015. The deadline is earlier this year in order to make final decisions
before program payments are due. For more information please go to

OAGC Review

Article submissions for the OAGC Review are due on February 15, 2015. If
you need additional time to submit an article, please contact
[7]anngift at aol.com.
