Good Morning!

As the parent of a high school boy with ADHD (mainly focus issues at this
point) and a gifted kindergartner (also boy) that attends Menlo Park
Academy up here in Cleveland, I really like this rubric! I feel it's
ambiguous enough that I could cut off the ranking/scoring section and give
it my high schooler as a self evaluation, yet still use it on my
kindergartner. However, keeping Menlo Park in mind, it does seem a bit
lengthy. I know Menlo's teachers have to put together a WEP for each of
their students, as the only criteria for admittance into the school is to
be gifted. And, I'd be willing to bet that the number of students with
IEPs is higher than a typical public school classroom. But, I'm not a
teacher and only took a few undergraduate basic teaching courses and one
gifted education class in grad school, so I don't really know.

That's my two cents.
Thanks for letting me share!
Lauren
