Below is a copy of a note I received about math contests for gifted elementary students. This looks like a worthwhile venture for students and teachers alike (note the deadlines). The link to sample problems (below) is very helpful, too.

Noetic Learning hosts abiannual problem-solving math contest specifically for gifted elementarystudents.
The contest offers them a great challenging opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.It provides high-ability math students a chance to shine. We hope the contest will also convey a message 'It is COOL to be good atmath!' to students.
The contest is fairly new.We are in our 6th year. However, the contest has already attracted 25,000+ youngmathletes across the country. We would like to see more participating from students in Ohio.
