Below it I posted the following comment that I hope captures the discussion on this list:

Discussions with my colleagues have raise two issues of concern with this promising new initiative (1) the privacy policies are not adequate to satisfy many HS families (for example, there's no opt-out for information shared with third parties) and (2) the costs for a certificate for completing a course are not spelled out up front. That means that to find out how much the certificate costs, students have to register and sacrifice their privacy. The cost should be spelled out up front and the privacy form needs revision.

I hope some of you will weigh in also.
