[Ohiogift] Gifted Coordinator Posting

[Gifted and Talented in Ohio Discussion List]

Columbus City Schools is hiring two gifted coordinators for the 2014-2015 school year.  

Job responsibilities include:
Provide support to regular classroom gifted cluster teachers in grades K-8 by developing resources, co-planning differentiated lessons, and conducting demonstration lessons
Facilitate gifted identifications and accelerations in assigned schools
Lead professional development about gifted education topics for individuals, small groups, and building staff
Work with teams to develop online professional development materials and student enrichment units
Support schools as they provide enrichment opportunities for students
Assist in writing and distributing Written Education Plans
Help plan and execute assigned district gifted office activities
Participate actively in building and department planning teams

Qualifications:
Valid Gifted Specialist License or Endorsement
Master's Degree
Minimum 3 years teaching experience
Prefer knowledge of Kaplan's Depth and Complexity model and Blackboard course system
