Hello everyone,
   Here is a listing for a gifted opening in Licking County.

Gifted and Talented Teacher - gifted endorsement required.

Successful candidate will coordinate and provide a systematic and continuous program within two buildings of the Johnstown-Monroe School District that will meet the educational needs of students identified as gifted. (Reading and Superior Cognitive) Said candidate will be able to provide direct instruction and support student acceleration and achievement in the gifted program in grades 3-5.

Responsibilities for grade 3:
*Work collaboratively with co-teachers to plan lessons for reading instruction for superior cognitive and gifted students *Provide direct instruction and small group instruction to promote student achievement in gifted learners

Responsibilities for grades 4-5:
*Teach reading (grade 4) and English Language Arts (grade 5) to superior cognitive and reading gifted students
* Provide direct instruction on grade level standards while providing enriched and accelerated instruction *Work collaboratively with grade level colleagues

Additional Responsibilities
*Write Written Educational Plans for each student *Communicate with parents on the progress of the WEP *Work with administrators in identification of gifted students

Experience in teaching English Language Arts in preferred.

The successful candidate will have a Supervisor or Principal License and gifted endorsement.  A 200 or 220 day contract will be offered and the salary range is $40,767 - $67,137.
