After reading the piece on the eighth graders trying to write
about whether the Holocaust happened or not, I thought
of one of our authors, now majoring in physics at Stanford,
who worked in high school on the "alpha sticking problem
in muon-catalyzed fusion."

Wouldn't this be a great debate topic for eighth graders?

"Debate whether the alpha sticking problem in muon-
catalyzed fusion is serious or merely an artifact of the
measurement used."

All they have to do is gather evidence and then
practice their Deeper CC Debating Skills, right?
