Family Issues and Giftedness

"Gifted children have gifted parents!" This statement implies the giftedness is embedded in family dynamics. This webinar will explore a) how family interactions are related to giftedness; b) give an overview of methods that explore these interactions; and c) give suggestions how counselors and educators can effectively work with families of gifted children.

This Webinar is scheduled from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. to facilitate the participation of parents (and grandparents), as well as school personnel. Registration is for the computer; we welcome multiple participants associated with one registered computer. As well, parent organizations and schools/districts/Area Education Agencies are welcome to purchase and share the DVD.

Academic Credit

Participants may enroll in the academic credit option for one semester hour (Administrative strand for the State of Iowa Talented and Gifted Endorsement). An automatic 50% tuition scholarship is available; participants pay $226.  Those who are interested in the academic credit may register for the Webinar itself, or for the DVD option.  The credit option begins on April 8 (this is the last academic credit available through the Belin-Blank Center for this spring).
