All,

I think I am a little early yet on this email, but while it is fresh in my mind, I am writing you to see if this will help in anyway in the lobbying for gifted services in the budgets.

I just came from the National Honor Society induction where my daughter was just inducted. Yes pretty proud Mom and Dad; my daughter says to me afterwards, "Mom, do you know what all of us have in common"... hmmm I am thinking loaded question... "no, what?" "I think everyone in our class, that was in Ms Albers gifted class, was just inducted into the National Honor Society". I have confirmed with Ms Albers we believe all 15 of her students. With this class she was able to start working with most of them in middle of 2nd grade to the end of 5th grade, ending with the famous Chicago town trip.

This must be some kind of case study to prove that the earlier you enable them the chances of success are so much greater! Can we use this somewhere in the battle with gifted services funding? There is not a commonality of birth order, country versus town, girl versus boy, the obvious one was gifted services. I know this is not scientific, but it sure should hold some validity to the need.

Anything I can do to help our battle?
