[Ohiogift] Report Card question

Well, it's an interesting question, Michelle. Even in presentations given to gifted audiences, ODE staff has consistently avoided discussion of the gifted performance indicator and the dashboard. At times, audiences have been given false information about whether the performance indicator is report only or not. (It is measure that counts.) Ohio Revised Code indicates that gifted performance indicator should be in place by school year 2014-2015. The operating standards cannot change this law. 

Due to the state board discussion of outputs measures that there has been a bit more discussion about the development of the dashboard elements that could be used for the gifted performance indicator.  The chair of the accountability committee appears to want to move things forward, but ultimately if ODE staff drags their feet, there isn't much he can do about it. 
We will see how quickly things move.

Quick question - Where are we with the Gifted Performance Indicator?  At one point, the building and district report cards were going to include the number of students identified and the number of students served, yet I don't see that on the timeline for the new A-F report card...?  I realize this could change with new operating standards...  but as of today - what is the plan?
